The kidney is an important organ of our body, which cleans the blood and removes waste materials. If the kidney works properly, then the health of the other organs also remains good. But if there is any problem in the kidney, then many problems can arise simultaneously. Therefore, to maintain the health of the kidney, we should avoid some habits and abstain from some things.

Avoid these things to keep your kidneys healthy

1. Excessive consumption of painkillers

If you often take painkillers, try to reduce it. Painkillers contain steroids that can damage the kidneys. Therefore, take painkillers only on the advice of a doctor.

2. Spicy food and junk food

Spicy and junk foods can put pressure on the kidneys. Try to avoid them and include fiber-rich foods in your diet, such as fruits and vegetables. This helps keep the kidneys healthy.

3. Excess salt intake

The habit of consuming too much salt can have a bad effect on the kidneys. When excess salt enters the body, the kidneys are unable to do proper filtration. Therefore, use less salt in food and avoid excess salt.

4. Drink less water

If you drink less water, the risk of kidney infection and stones increases. Kidney stones can be dangerous for the body, so drink adequate amounts of water daily.

5. Smoking habit

Smoking has a bad effect on the kidneys. Smoking stops the blood supply to the lungs and blood vessels, due to which blood cannot reach the kidneys properly. This can affect the filtration of the kidneys.

6. Holding Urine

Holding urine can be dangerous for the kidneys. When urine backs up, it puts pressure on the kidneys and increases the risk of infection. Therefore, whenever urine comes out, dispose of it immediately.

Avoid these things in case of kidney problems

1. Packaged drinks and sherbet: Packaged fruit juices, cold drinks, lemonade, tea coffee, coconut water, and sherbet can be harmful to the kidneys.

2. Some fruits: Reduce the consumption of mango, orange, lemon, banana, seasonal fruit, peach, and apricot, as they contain high amounts of potassium, which can affect kidney health.

3. Some nuts: Peanuts, almonds, dates, raisins, and cashews contain high amounts of potassium and phosphorus, which can aggravate kidney problems.

4. Lotus root and mushroom: These foods also contain some elements which can affect the health of the kidneys.

5. Cigarettes and alcohol: Smoking and alcohol consumption can cause serious damage to the kidneys. Staying away from these is better for kidney health.

By avoiding these habits and foods, you can keep your kidneys healthy and fit. Pay attention to your diet and lifestyle and get regular health checkups so that your kidneys always function properly.
