META's popular chatting app, WhatsApp, is used by almost every Indian. In a situation where it is a useful platform for many users, the use of this app is also recognised by some users as wrongdoing. In such a situation, the company is adopting its own way of identifying these accounts and banning them. According to media reports, in February this year, the company banned the accounts of more than 45 lakh Indian users.

Accounts getting banned increased in February. It is known that in January of this year, WhatsApp shared a report of banning more than 29 lakh Indian accounts. At the same time, this report was published in December last year with a number of more than 36 lakh users. Earlier in November, the company had banned the accounts of more than 37 lakh Indian users. If seen in this way, the number of accounts getting banned in February has increased.

In fact, in this report related to user safety, those complaints have been reported, which have been filed by the users of WhatsApp with the company itself. After which, under the action taken by WhatsApp, the complaint account was banned after an investigation.

4,597,400 accounts frozen: The news says that users living in India are identified by their phone numbers. Indian users' numbers start with +91. The data of the account to be banned is being given from February 1–28. According to the report, 4,597,000 accounts have been banned by the company.
