Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, the havoc of Corona is increasing continuously. Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain, which have become hot spots of Corona in the state, wheat procurement is going to start from Wednesday on support price in the state. This time 4,305 procurement centres have been built to follow physical distance. Only six farmers will be called here every day and purchases from them will also be made in two shifts ie from 10 am to 1.5 am and from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Farmers will be called by giving SMS to sell the crop. The farmers have been asked to come in with a mask in view of corona infection and wash their hands every two hours with soap and follow physical distance. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has assured the farmers that each grain will be purchased.

The government is taking equal care to ensure that the farmers are not harmed. Wheat will be purchased at a minimum support price of Rs 1,925 per quintal. This time one crore metric tonnes of wheat is expected to be acquired. Food and civil supplies have prepared accordingly. Shivshekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary of the department informed that SMS will be sent to 21 lakh farmers for wheat procurement. In this, they will also be told the date and time of bringing the produce.
