Ali Fazal then on boycott said, “I feel bad when people talk about boycotting the show because so many people are involved in making it. Sometimes, I have to weigh my options and take a step back for the larger good of others; I don’t want them to bear the brunt of my actions. That said, I will not stop raising my voice. I am an artiste in a free world, I am supposed to raise questions. The environment of hate needs to be tackled with peace. We are the country that won its freedom through peace, after all.”

Career

In 2011 Ali Fazal was noticed by Shahrukh Khan’s production company Red Chillies and he got an opportunity to debut in Bollywood with the role of Sam Khanna in the Bollywood film Always Kabhi Kabhi. After that, he worked in Bollywood movies like Fukrey, Sonali Cable, Khamoshiyan, Happy Bhag Jayegi, and Prassthanam.  He is also a part of Bollywood films are Baanwre, Fukrey 3, Happy Ab Bhag Jayegi!, and Khufiya.

Ali Fazal started his career in web series with the American television mini-series Bollywood Hero released in 2009. In 2015, he played the character of Pawan in the web series Bang Baaja Baaraat. But he got real recognition when he played the role of Guddu Pandit in Amazon Prime web series Mirzapur Season 1 and 2. On personal front, Ali Fazal recently tied knot to the actress Richa Chadha. The photos and videos of wedding ceremonies went viral on internet. The duo also discloses they are legally married since 2.5 years.
