Purnia: A shocking incident has been reported from Purnia in Bihar. After the bite of the mad dog, a man started doing animal-like activities, after which, the family had to tie his hands and legs. The family took the patient to Purnia Government Medical College, where he was referred to Patna after examination.

The victim has been identified as Pankaj Ram, a resident of Rupauli. His father's name is Umesh Ram. According to the news, Pankaj Ram was bitten by a dog some time ago, which he did not get treatment for at that time. Then, his condition worsened. The boy has lost his mental balance after being bitten by a mad dog. The family members of the patient said that about two months ago, Pankaj Ram was bitten by a mad dog. He did not report the dog's bite to the family. Due to lack of timely treatment, his health suddenly deteriorated on Tuesday and he started acting like a mad animal.

The family members rushed him to Purnia Medical College, where doctors referred Pankaj Ram to Patna after undergoing treatment. Pankaj Ram's uncle said that 2-3 months ago, his nephew was bitten by a mad dog. "Pankaj took this lightly and did not inform anyone about it. When his health suddenly started deteriorating, the family first admitted him to referral hospital Rupauli. After initial treatment, doctors referred him to the Government Medical College Hospital in Purnia. After coming here, the doctors, after the examination, told him about the problem of rabies and referred him to Patna. The doctor of the medical college hospital said that there is no treatment for rabies, taking anti-rabies injections on time is the only protection. This infection is spread by the bites of wild animals. Due to this, the man in the hospital premises kept doing crazy animal-like activities, which a crowd of people gathered there to see.
