Lata Mangeshkar is no more in this world. She has said goodbye to this world today. She has been known as the Nightingale of India. Lata Mangeshkar sang songs in more than 1000 Hindi films in her career spanning seven decades from 1940 to 2019. She sang these songs in more than 36 Indian and foreign languages, although Lata Mangeshkar's journey in the music industry was not always easy. The singer died at the age of 92 and at the beginning of her career, she had also seen very bad and strange behaviour. She has a famous anecdote with GM Durrani associated with her.

In fact, in the 1940s, there was a burning of GM Durrani in the world of music. When a new music director reached her in that period, Durrani would say to her, 'If you want to sing Durrani, then learn to make a good tune.' Once, Lata, Naushad Saheb and Durrani were recording the song, although Durrani's behaviour was not good with the shy and polite Lata.

It is said that there was a fierce feeling of success in his tongue and due to this, he used to say anything. Naushad Saheb was a witness to what happened at that time. Yes, and he said, "There were only two mikes at the time. One for musicians, the other for singers. That's how they both (Durrani and Lata) stood face to face. As soon as Durrani's line was complete, he would start doing some mischief. I told her later to stand quietly and not to obstruct that girl's work with his pranks. Because the girl (Lata) was new and it could have shaken her confidence. However, the 'new girl' was getting angry instead of being alarmed by Durrani's antics.

During another recording with Lata, Durrani started making old antics. He made fun of Lata's plain dress and said in Lakhnawi Urdu, 'Lata, why don't you wear colourful clothes?' How do you come out with a white sheet wrapped like this?' At that time, Lata must have thought that how this man, who is familiar with the taste of Urdu language, is showing unreasonable proximity to a woman and calling her 'Tum' instead of 'Aap'. In such a situation, Lata said, 'I used to think that this man would pay more attention to my singing than my clothes. That very moment I decided that I would not sing with that artist again.
