These days south movies are breaking all the records. Not only in India But also on international platforms south films are gaining popularity. SS Rajamouli's RRR has beaten box office collection of Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots in Japan to become the third highest-grossing Indian film in the country. SS Rajamouli has given various hits and he played a very significant role in the popularity of South Indian Cinema.
One old video of the veteran director is going viral on the internet. The director compared south star Prabhas with Hrithik Roshan. He said, “When Dhoom 2 released two years ago, I wondered why only Bollywood can make such quality films. Don’t we have heroes like Hrithik Roshan? I just saw the songs, poster and trailer of Billa, and I can only say one thing. Hrithik Roshan is nothing in front of Prabhas. I’d like to thank Meher Ramesh (director) for taking Telugu cinema to Hollywood level.”
As soon as it caught the eyes people the fans started defending the veteran director. One user wrote, "Hrithik is nothing in front of Prabhas" is not an accurate translation. He said people say Telugu cinema doesn't have actors like Hrithik (referring to how handsome he is, apart from acting talent). And then he says he saw song, posters and trailer and says Hrithik wouldn't work out for this. (This is the closest translation I can come up with),"
SS Rajamouli’s RRR became a Blockbuster not only in India but also in other parts of the world. Speaking of RRR, it is a fictional story set in the 1920s pre-independent era and is based on the lives of two real heroes and well-known revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. While Ram Charan played Ram, NTR was seen as Bheem. The film has grossed over Rs. 1000 crore worldwide during its theatrical run.
