Mumbai: A special court in Mumbai extended the police custody of underworld don Ravi Pujari till 15 March. Earlier, the accused told the court that he wants to share some information with the investigating officer. Ravi Pujari told the court that he wanted to remain in police custody, while his own lawyer argued that he should not be sent back for questioning by the police again.

After the remand period ended on Tuesday, the police presented the Pujari in front of Special Judge DE Kothalikar and appealed to him to be detained for a further period. Special Public Prosecutor Sunil Gonsalves said that the confessional statement of the accused has been recorded by the competent authority and the accused needs to be confronted with them. At the same time, the priest's lawyer argued that the investigating officer had already got enough time and hence there was no need to pursue police custody. Meanwhile, the Pujari told the court that he wanted to keep some things, which the judge allowed.

During the debate, Pujari said that he wants to say something in court. The court heard the Pujari patiently. He told the court that he had no problem with extending police custody for a period of 5 days. He had certain information which he wants to share with the investigating officer.
