Actress Gayatri Arun could not resist with the role of brave IPS Deepti, and now, her career seems to be doing the same. The actress, who made her film debut with 'Sarvopari Palakkarna', now has two exciting films. She is set to play the lead role in Mammootty-Starer 'One', directed by Santosh Vishwanath, and has a cameo in Jayasuriya's 'Thrissur Pooram' directed by Rajesh Mohanan and produced by Vijay Babu.

The audience are enjoying her comeback and she thanks the small screen for this. Elaborating on her journey, Gayatri said that it was the director who suggested her name, while the team was discussing the cast for 'One'. She further said, “I came to know this from our production controller, Badusha. Apparently, Santosh Sir suggested my name after watching my show on television. Subsequently, screenwriter Bobby Sir contacted me and confirmed my role." She said that when your project is focused on the small screen and there are opportunities to move forward in films, it feels good.

The actress played the role of Sina, a middle-class woman who is the bread maker of the family in a film written by Bobby-Sanjay. She added, "The film does not have a heroine and I play one of the important female roles as the sister of Matthew Thomas. I love political dramas like 'Raja' of Mammootty sir. A major difference would be a similar experience from actor to audience. We have a composition scene and I loved it when Mammootty Sir gave me suggestions about acting."

She continued saying, "I have not deliberately taken a break from the small screen. I got into films when I got a good performance-oriented project. Whether it is movies or serials, I just want to be known as a good artist. In films, this is another performance and experience in acting."
