Mumbai: AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has hit back at Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat's statement that 'Muslims need not fear'. Owaisi asked who is Mohan to 'allow' Muslims to live in India or follow our religion. Not only this, Owaisi said that Allah willed, and that's why we are Indians.

In fact, recently Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat had given a statement regarding Muslims. Mohan Bhagwat said that Muslims in India have nothing to fear. Islam has no fear. But he should definitely leave the bigoted rhetoric about his superiority. Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted, asking, "Who is Mohan, to 'allow' Muslims to live in India or follow our religion?" We are Indians because Allah willed it. How dare he impose conditions on our citizenship? We are not in India to adjust our faith or to please the group of so-called brahmacharis in Nagpur.

Owaisi said, why this 'Chori' for China and 'Seenajori' for fellow citizens? If we really are at war, has the federal government been sleeping for 8 years? He asked who chose Mohan as the representative of the Hindus. Is he contesting elections in 2024? He is welcome. He said that there are many Hindus who find the RSS's rhetoric inflammatory. How minorities feel in such a situation is another matter. Owaisi asked that Prime Minister Modi hugs Muslim leaders of countries around the world. But he was not seen hugging a single Muslim of India. Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal also attacked Mohan Bhagwat's statement. He wrote I agree that India should remain India. But a human should also remain a human.
