Geneva: The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Monday that the situation of the countries is worsening. WHO also said that it has recorded the highest number of cases in a day. Covid-19 can be dangerous in America. In view of the demonstrations against racism in major cities around the world, including the United States, the United Nations health body has urged the protesters to take care of themselves, so that the spread of the virus is not accelerated. In December last year, more than 4,08 thousand people have died due to the coronavirus that surfaced in Wuhan city of China. After East Asia, Europe emerged as the hub of the virus, but now the US has replaced it.

According to the information, WHO chief Tedros Adhom Grabesius said in a virtual conference held in Geneva that the situation in Europe is improving, but globally the situation is getting worse. He said that in nine of the last 10 days, one lakh cases have been reported every day. There were 1,36,000 cases reported yesterday, which is the highest number of cases reported in a single day. WHO chief said that 75 percent of these cases were reported in 10 countries, most of which were reported in the US and South Asia. He further said that most people around the world are still susceptible to infection.

Tedros said that it has been more than six months since this pandemic unfolded. This is not the time for any country to decline measures to stop the epidemic. WHO chief said that due to the large number of people gathering, active surveillance of the virus is necessary so that its spread is prevented. He said that the WHO fully supports the global movement against equality and racism. We reject all forms of discrimination. We encourage all those opposing the world over to do so safely. Where the WHO chief said that the organization has sent 50 lakh PPE kits to 110 countries. The global health body has targeted to send one billion 29 million PPE kits to 126 countries.
