Ganesh Chaturthi: Who brought Elephant's head for Shri Ganesh?

Lord Ganesha is worshipped before all deities. He received this boon by his father Lord Shiva, although there came a time when Lord Shiva became angry at Shri Ganesha and he beheaded Shri Ganesh in anger. After this, the head of Gajraj (elephant) was placed to Ganesha. But why did Shiva cut off the head of Ganesh and who had brought the head of the elephant to put on his torso?

Why was Lord Shiva angry at Shri Ganesh?

Goddess Parvati once built an idol with the dirt of her body before bathing. She made a very beautiful statue and then put life in it. In this way, a child was born. Goddess told the child that you are my son and you only have to follow my orders. After this, Goddess Parvati went for a bath and she told the child that you should not allow anyone to come inside. She went for a bath and only then Lord Shiva arrived there. Lord Shiva began to enter the building, but the child obeyed the mother's order and blocked his way and, being angry, Lord Shiva separated the child's head. When she saw this scene, she started mourning. After this, Shiv Ji made him alive by putting an elephant's head on the torso of Ganesh.

Who brought the elephant's head?

Ganesh was revived by the elephant's head, but the question also arises as to who brought the elephant's head. Being angry Goddess Parvati said that whoever gets the head first put it on the torso of the child. Then Shri Vishnu brought the head of an elephant and put it on the torso of the child. In this way Shri Ganesh became Gajanan.
