There has been a decrease in the number of new cases of coronavirus in many countries around the world, although there are many countries that are seeing a tremendous surge. Amidst all this, the World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a warning to people and said that we need to be more vigilant when fast-spreading variants arrive. In fact, who's head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said, "The severity of COVID-19 will decrease over time. Not only that, but they have also put forward three possible ways to figure out how the pandemic will develop this year.''

WHO's head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said during a briefing, "We know that the COVID-19 virus is constantly evolving, but the severity of the disease caused by it decreases over time, as immunity increases due to vaccines and infections. The weakness of immunity may lead to a periodic spurt in COVID-19 cases and an increase in the number of deaths. In such a situation, immunity among vulnerable populations may need to be boosted.''

Tedros further said, "Also in the best case scenario we can see that less severe forms emerge and boosters or new formulations of vaccines will not be necessary." At the same time, in the worst case, a more deadly and very fast-spreading COVID-19 variant comes to the fore. Against this new threat, the immunity created by vaccination or infection will be reduced or eliminated rapidly.''

With this, how to move forward to eliminate the acute phase of COVID-19? Responding to this, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that for this, all countries around the world need to focus on the 5 main components.

First - Surveillance, laboratories and public health intelligence.
Second - Vaccination, public health and social measures.
Third - Clinical care and resilient health system for COVID-19.
Fourth- Research and development, uniform access to device supply.
Fifth- Coordination as response transition from an emergency mode to long-term respiratory disease management.

The World Health Organization (WHO) says that the recombinant virus Deltacron of omicron and delta spreads rapidly. Yes, and also the subvariant BA of the omicron. Cases of 2 are also seeing a massive surge. At the same time, scientists say that the infection is likely to increase with the new variants of COVID-19.
