New Delhi: The agitation of farmers against the agricultural laws brought by the central government has been going on in the borders of Delhi for the last one and quarter months. There is another round of talks between the farmers and the government on Friday. The farmers say that they will not return till the law is withdrawn. Amid this controversy, on Thursday, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar met Baba Lakkha Singh, the head of Nanaksar Gurdwara.

During this meeting, Baba Lakkha Singh raised the issue of farmers' movement with the Minister of Agriculture. He also offered to get agreement between the two sides. Baba Lakkha Singh has told the government that he is ready to get an agreement between the two sides. However, the central government should hand over the power to implement agricultural laws in the hands of the state governments. The issue of agriculture is the issue of the state. However, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar made it clear during this time that the government has agreed to most of the demands of farmers and is ready to accept other demands as well. But the government will not withdraw all the three laws, if the government has taken some steps on its behalf, the farmers should do the same.

There are many Nanaksar Gurudwaras in Punjab, Haryana and many other states. The head of the management committee of all these gurdwaras is Baba Lakkha Singh, who has a good reach in the Sikh community. There has been an attempt to mediate between the government and the farmers.
