Patna: Elections have been announced for the Rajya Sabha seat vacated by the demise of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) founder Ram Vilas Paswan. By-elections are proposed on December 14 in this only Rajya Sabha seat of Bihar. There is a question in everyone's mind about who will go to the upper house in place of Ram Vilas Paswan on behalf of the NDA. However, there is doubt about whether this seat of LJP will remain in his account or not.

During the Bihar assembly elections, LJP Chief Chirag Paswan targeted CM Nitish Kumar and fielded his candidates against JDU. In such a situation, JDU has made it clear that if the name of a candidate from LJP is decided for the seat of Rajya Sabha, it will not be supported by JDU. Without the support of JDU, it is difficult for the NDA to win this seat.

Let us tell you that the Rajya Sabha seat was vacated after Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad became the Lok Sabha MP in 2019, after which the BJP sent Ram Vilas Paswan to the Upper House from its quota under the seat-sharing agreement in the Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, the way the equations are being created on the Rajya Sabha seat vacated by Paswan's death, it is likely that the seat will again go into the BJP's account.
