WHO has also expressed concern over the deteriorating situation in India due to covid, WHO chief Tedros Adenom has said at a press conference that the situation in Covid in India is very alarming. He also said that this second wave of covid could prove more deadly. Tedros said he was keeping an eye on the situation in India. All necessary assistance is also being provided by them. Several medical items with masks are being sent to India.

More than 20 million people have been affected by the virus. India had witnessed 3,43,144 new covid cases till 8 am on Friday, while 4,000 people have lost their lives. Meanwhile, more than three lakh covid cases have been reported in India in 22 days. Maharashtra is now second in terms of active. There has been a shortage of 12,803 cases in 24 hours. At present, Karnataka has become the state with the highest number of case cases.
