New Delhi: In the matter of lapse in the security of PM Narendra Modi, swords have been drawn between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. Where the BJP is accusing the Congress government of the failure of the police. Punjab CM Charanjit Channi is not ready to accept that the Punjab Police failed to assess the situation and allowed PM Modi's convoy to go through the same route where the protesters had already blocked the road.

Punjab Police and CM Channi say that they were not aware that the protesters were already camping on Moga Road, where PM Modi's convoy stayed for 20 minutes. It is ironic that the protesters were aware of every movement of PM Modi, while the Punjab Police itself was not aware of the protesters that they have blocked the flyover. A protester told the media that we came to know through mobile phone and channel that PM Modi's plane had landed in Bathinda and the pilot has refused to fly further. Not only this, the protester said that, if anyone wants to go to Hussainiwala Memorial via road, then this road is the only way.

According to media reports, the protesters were residents of Misriwala and Pyarewala villages. Significantly, the protesters had been frozen here for two days, while CM Channi says police had asked the protesters to clear the way on Tuesday night. And the Punjab Police is now saying that they were not aware of the protesters being there.

CM Channi's lie?

CM Charanjeet Singh Channi's double standards on the issue have also been seen. He said he did not go to pick up PM Modi because he has come in contact with corona infected people and hence is in isolation. While CM Channi was seen holding a press conference on Wednesday evening, that too without a mask.
