Bhopal: Protest against the statement given to Pandit Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham regarding Lord Sahastrabahu is increasing continuously. On Saturday, posters were put up against Peethadhishwar Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham in different areas of Bhopal. In this, a demand has been made to apologize to Dhirendra Shastri for the statement made regarding Lord Sahastrabahu. Officials of Shri Sahastrabahu Kalchuri Mahasabha told that Dhirendra Shastri has made objectionable remarks about Lord Sahastrabahu and he is quoting Puranas and Shastras. Dhirendra Shastri has expressed regret on social media, but has not apologised.
Let us inform that some time ago, Dhirendra Shastri had expressed regret for his statement by tweeting a video from the official Twitter account of Bageshwar Dham. He had said that 'a topic has come to our notice for the last few days. Further, he had said that whatever was said by me in the middle of a discussion about the war between Lord Parshuram ji and Maharaj Sahastrabahu Arjun ji, has been said on the basis described in our holy Hindu scriptures. Our aim was never to hurt the sentiments of any society or class, nor will it ever happen, because we have always been in favor of the unity of Sanatan. Nevertheless, if any of our words have hurt someone's feelings, then we are sorry for it. We all Hindus are one, will remain one. Our unity is our strength.
Let us tell you that earlier on Friday in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, the Kalar Samaj protested and demanded registration of an FIR against Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham. Kalar Samaj had also burnt 17 effigies at once. Due to story reading, Dhirendra Shastri had commented against the deity Raj Rajeshwar Sahastrabahu of Kalar Samaj. There is resentment in the Kalar community regarding this comment. Kalar Samaj had warned in the memorandum that if the FIR is not registered, the society will launch a fierce agitation.
