Amritsar: The native village of Pakistan's new PM-turned-Shehbaz Sharif is in India. Residents of Jatti Umra village under Amritsar are now praying for the success of Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif. Let me tell you that Shehbaz is the younger brother of Pakistan's three-time PM Nawaz Sharif. The people of Jatti Umra village are accomplishing prayers in the gurudwara that Shehbaz Sharif should succeed in handling Pakistan.

Dr Dilbagh Singh, who is doing medical practice in the village, said that his father, late Masa Singh, was a friend of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif's father Mian Muhammad Sharif and Sharif's family had moved to Pakistan before the partition. Shehbaz Sharif and his elder brother Nawaz Sharif were born in Pakistan. In 2013, Shehbaz Sharif came to his native village as the Chief Minister of Pakistan's Punjab. He had also inaugurated a variety of development projects for the development of his village. The Sharif family also employs Indians living in their native villages in their factories in Dubai.

Hoping to find a solution to the issue arising out of the resumption of India-Pakistan trade and the dispute between the two countries, Balwinder Singh, another resident of the village, said, "There could not have been anything better than going to the command of Pakistan in the hands of Shehbaz Sharif because he has roots in India, he would like to resolve all the issues at the negotiating table." Gathered at the gurudwara and praying for the well-being and progress of Shehbaz Sharif, the villagers also extended an invitation to Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif to visit his native village. Dilbag Singh said that earlier he had come to India as the CM of Pakistan's Punjab. Now we want to see him in our village as the PM of Pakistan. It's a matter of pride for our entire village.
