Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmavati has managed to cast biggies of Bollywood together i.e., Ranveer, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. Ranveer is playing the role of Alauddin Khilji in the film, so he goes an extra mile to get into the skin of his characters.

Also veteran actor Raza Murad will be seen in the film. The film is his third film with Ranveer and Deepika.

Recently, Ranveer and Raza Murad were shooting for a sequence for the film wherein Ranveer had been to slapped by Raza and it took 24 shots. It means Raza slapped Ranveer 24 times. Ranveer shared this news on Instagram, "True story!"

He had earlier said, "What a guy! Can’t believe he does the things he does, he is an appalling human being. You can’t even call him a human being, call him a ‘haivaan’. You would love to hate him. You will be like, ‘I hate this person how can he be this way, how can anybody be this way, is there no compassion.’ He’s a hard guy.”
