Every year on March 22, the nation celebrates World Water Day, a time to spread education about the significance of clean drinking water and the need to manage its supplies sustainably.

On this day, people all around the globe are reminded of the global water problem. One of the most important things to have is access to clean drinking water. Life on Earth would be impossible without a sufficient and reliable supply of water.
The adage "Water is life" is true. The world's population growth has led to an increase in resource demand, which has resulted in the misuse and abuse of all resources. As a result, there is a serious water shortage in towns all across the world.

There was a time when wells, ponds, canals and rivers were visible everywhere, but now the water level is slowly decreasing, due to which the water crisis is increasing all over the world. World Water Day is celebrated every year on 22 March to make people around the world understand the importance of water and provide clean water. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched Catch the Rain i.e. rain water harvesting campaign through video conference. This campaign is being run across the country, be it rural areas or urban areas.

In 1992, a conference was organized by the United Nations on the issue of environment and development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and during the same time the initiative to celebrate World Water Day was also started. went . After this, World Water Day was celebrated for the first time in the year 1993, after which this day is celebrated every year on 22 March.

Let us be  be aware that about three-fourths of the earth is filled with only water, which is in the form of oceans, rivers, lakes and springs. However, only 1% or less of this water is suitable for drinking. Therefore it becomes necessary that we save water, so that water crisis does not arise in future, because 'water is life' and without water life is not going to survive.
