One of the main Hindu gods, along with Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh, is Brahma Ji. Even after uniting the principal of superme god, there is only one temple dedicated to Brahma ji in India.

Lord Brahma is credited with creating the universe in Hindu scriptures. In all of India, he has just one temple, which is located in Pushkar. Millions of people come here to receive darshan because this is the only temple dedicated to Brahma Ji. On the edges of Pushkar Lake, this temple is located. Due to its beauty, visitors come here from all over.

How did Pushkar come into existence?

The Padma Purana claims that a demon by the name of Vajranash once caused havoc on earth. The demon was then killed by Brahma Ji. But as he was killing, lotuses dropped from his hands in three different locations, creating three new lakes. Since then, this location has been known as Pushkar.

Why did his wife curse Brahmaji?

At this point, Brahma Ji made the decision to carry out a yagya for the benefit of all people. Brahma ji began the yagya in Pushkar, but since his wife Savitri was late, he wed Gayatri, a Gurjar woman, and continued the yagya. Savitri arrived at the location in the meantime and confronted Brahma ji. She swore at Brahma ji that even though he was a god, no one would ever worship him. The gods all revealed to Savitri the reason for her second marriage and pleaded with her to reverse the curse. When Savitri's rage subsided, She claimed that Brahma ji's homeland of Pushkar is where you will only be worshipped. It is also said that anyone who constructs a Brahma temple somewhere else on earth will have it destroyed.
