New Delhi: Ahead of the T20 World Cup semi-final match against New Zealand, former Pakistan fast bowlers Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis have lashed out at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Pakistan's legendary fast bowlers have slammed the PCB for sharing dressing-room conversations on social media. Akram and Waqar have said that whatever happens in the dressing room should be kept confidential.

Actually, the PCB posted the video of captain Babar Azam's speech in the dressing room on social media after India's defeat in the T20 World Cup. After this, when the team qualified for the semi-finals, the video of Babar and the team's mentor Matthew Hayden was also shared on social media. Both Akram and Waqar are angry with PCB's similar antics. Akram told a sports channel that, if I were in Babar Azam's place, I would have stopped the person making the video at the same time, because there are many private things in the dressing room, and if they are made public, then it can be embarrassing. He said that I don't think any other team would have done this in the World Cup or before. I can understand the desire to increase the fan base, but it is too much.

Waqar has also agreed with Akram's words and said that Pakistan cricket has suffered due to the disclosure of dressing room talks in the past. He said that I agree 100 per cent with what Wasim said. Whatever happens in the dressing room, it should stay there. This is not a problem as of now, even before this, things about the dressing room have been leaked in the media.
