The objectionable tweet was made on November 4, 20:30 (Thursday). Police have sought information from Twitter about the same.
According to media reports, the bomb threat was made from a Twitter incident called Deepak Sharma. Police suspect that the Twitter handle maker has resorted to the wrong name and identity. The case was first complained to 112 units of UP police. In view of the seriousness of the matter, UP 112 informed the higher authorities. Lucknow Police DCP Crime Pramod Kumar Tiwari apprised him of the ongoing action in the case. According to DCP crime, it would be appropriate to wait for the final investigation to be concluded. It is not right to name anyone until confirmed. Further action will be taken after receiving information from Twitter. Apart from threatening to bomb Modi and Yogi, several other objectionable tweets have also been sent from the handle. All of them have been kept under investigation.
Tell me that threats have been made to PM Modi in the past. In June 2021, Delhi Police arrested an accused who threatened to kill PM Modi over phone. A similar phone threat was made in November 2020. Even then, the Delhi Police had caught the accused.
