Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina made a statement about National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah, triggering fresh speculation on social media about the politics of Jammu and Kashmir. On the statement of Ravinder Raina, Omar Abdullah tweeted that they are only against each other politically, but do not hate each other.
In fact, Ravinder Raina had said in an interview, 'I became an MLA when Omar Abdullah was also there (Assembly). I saw that as a person, Omar Abdullah is a gem among the top political leaders of Jammu and Kashmir. When I got corona infected, Omar Abdullah was the first person among the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir to call me. Omar Abdullah responded to Ravinder Raina's statement by tweeting and saying that we will continue to oppose each other.'
He said, 'Why is it about political division and hatred? Where does politics say that we have to personally hate each other in order to disagree politically? Those who are my political opponents are not my enemies. I am grateful for Ravinder's kind words and I am glad that they will not stop us from opposing each other.'
