Patna: Anand Madhav, chairman of Bihar Pradesh Congress, Research Department, and Manifesto Committee, has demanded from the Election Commission that the panchayat elections be postponed in view of the terrible form of corana. He has said that political rallies have caused the most havoc in the corona period. It is known that the Election Commission in Bihar is preparing to issue notifications for the Panchayati Raj elections.

He said that the condition of the entire state is critical. Therefore, the Election Commission, using its exclusive authority, should postpone the Bihar Panchayat elections for at least six months. RJD MLA co-spokesperson Ramanuj Prasad, the party's state general secretary Bhai Arun Kumar expressed deep concern over the growing corona infection in Bihar and said that the government needs to take stern steps to prevent it. He further said that due to the West Bengal assembly elections and the panchayat elections in UP, the situation in corona has become more frightening.

In such a situation, the government should push the Panchayat elections to be held in Bihar so that the corona explosion can be stopped. RJD leaders said that on the lines of Delhi, the Bihar government should also arrange medicines and treatment at home for home quarantine people. Also, the number of doctors and nurses should be released.
