New Delhi:Union Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP chief J P Nadda on Tuesday met Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. The meeting came ahead of the bjp's crucial meeting on the presidential elections scheduled to be held today. In such a situation, speculation has started to be made whether M Venkaiah Naidu will be the presidential candidate from the ruling party. Let us know that Singh and Nadda have been tasked by the party to talk to various political parties, including the opposition, on the presidential election.

The meeting of Shah, Singh and Nadda with Naidu assumes significance as the BJP Parliamentary Board also has a meeting today. The name of nda's presidential candidate is to be discussed in this meeting. PM Narendra Modi is also likely to attend the meeting. Both Nadda and Singh have so far spoken to senior leaders, including Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee, Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik and National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah, to arrive at a consensus on the name of the presidential candidate.

Let us know that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance is in a strong position on the basis of numerical strength in the presidential election and if it gets the support of parties like biju janata dal or the ruling YSR Congress of Andhra Pradesh, its victory will be guaranteed.
