Begusarai: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has come under attack from the BJP for stating the caste and religion of those killed and injured in the Begusarai shootout case. The BJP has asked Nitish will he be in pain only when Muslims die. In fact, on Tuesday, four miscreants riding an alleged motorcycle borne criminals carried out a shootout in Bachwara, Teghra, Phulwaria and Chakia police station areas in Begusarai. A man named Chandan Kumar was killed in the incident. At the same time, 9 others were seriously injured.

When CM Nitish Kumar was asked a question about this incident the next day, he told the caste and religion of the people living in the area of the incident. He had termed the entire incident as a conspiracy somewhere. Nitish had said, "The perpetrator of the crime has deliberately done this work. On the one hand, where there has been a disturbance, everyone belongs to backward classes and on the other hand, where there has been a ruckus, all belong to the Muslim community. We have asked the officers to find out in every way.''

BJP leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh has attacked Nitish Kumar for revealing the caste and religion of the dead and injured persons. Giriraj asked Nitish whether he would be pained only when a Muslim dies in the incident. Questions are also being raised on CM Nitish Kumar about the Begusarai incident because even after more than 40 hours of the incident, the criminals are still out of the grip of the police. Along with the district police, STF has also been entrusted with the investigation of this whole case to catch the miscreants, but so far they have not got any success. Meanwhile, the district police arrested four suspected criminals, who may be involved in the incident. Their picture has been shared with the police of nearby districts. So that they can be caught. The Begusarai DIG has also announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for catching the miscreants. DIG Satyaveer Singh has said that whoever helps in arresting the suspected miscreants will be rewarded by the government.
