Super Singer’s sixth season ends with the victory of folk music

The sixth installment of Airtel Super Singer which was marked by the presence of celebrities like actor Vijay Sethupathi, music composer Santhosh Narayana and A. R. Rahman’s special message to the six finalists of the show.

On Sunday night, Senthil Ganesh claimed the victory over the saga show with the winning and prestigious trophy along with Rs 50 lakh flat. He also got the opportunity to be a playback singer at Mozart of Madras AR Rahman. Audience and judges’ score were aggregated to gauge the winner whose major genre is folk music.

Rakshitha and Malavika who emerged as the first and second runner of the singing show got the prize worth Rs 25 lakh and Rs 2 lakh respectively along with the opportunity to sing with A. R. Rahman.

Sreekanth, Anirudh, and Shakthi were the other three finalists who couldn’t achieve any prize but to honor their talent the show rewarded them the opportunity to sing with Rahman.

Rajalakshmi who was unable to claim any spot in final was acclaimed by 'Makkalin Kural'(the public's choice) and Rs 5 lakh to which she later donated to the institutes which help for the education of children, reports said.

Unnikrishnan, Anuradha Sriram, Benny Dayal and Swetha Mohan were the judges who measured contestants performance and Ma Ka Pa Anand and Priyanka Deshpande was the anchor at the show throughout its journey.
