Lucknow: Most cities in North India are under the grip of Cold Wave. The minimum temperature of 4 degree Celsius in Delhi-NCR has broken the record of cold. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy snowfall in the mountains is the main reason for the cold that is causing havoc in the plains states. The average minimum temperature in most parts of northern India was recorded below 5 degrees Celsius.

With the drop in temperature, the temperature of the shivering winter is increasing. In fact, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir are getting forced snowfall. According to the Meteorological Department, the more snowfall on the mountains, the colder the plains will grow. In Delhi-NCR, in some places, the minimum temperature has reached below 4 degrees. At the same time, below 4 degrees has also been recorded on Friday.

Which broke the 10-year record with. Earlier in 2011 on December 16, the minimum temperature was 5 degrees. Delhi's minimum temperature is expected to reach 2 degrees Celsius by the end of December. The IMD has predicted similar cold conditions to continue till next week. However, some relief can be expected after a week. The Meteorological Department said that the temperature will remain below normal in North India next week.
