New Delhi: The Parliament is likely to observe a tempestuous session on Friday as the Congress today gave a suspension motion notice in Rajya Sabha on PM Narendra Modi's alleged distasteful remarks in opposition to his predecessor Dr. Manmohan Singh.

The party granted the adjournment motion notice in Rajya Sabha under rule 267.

For now, a similar notice was set by BJP MP Vinay Sahasrabuddhe to the Rajya Sabha chairperson under rule 267 on comments of Congress leaders in opposition to PM Modi.

The Congress has been leading a determined protest in opposition to the NDA system and has hunted an act of contrition from the PM over his alleged derogatory comments in opposition to Singh during the campaign of assembly elections in Gujarat.

The release of all 2G telecom spectrum allocation scam accused and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's alleged derogatory remarks against Singh had led to the adjournment of the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

The 2G scam case judgment found an echo in the Rajya Sabha, with the Opposition Congress upsetting the proceedings and demanding an clarification from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Congress members yelled slogans, obscuring the voices of other members and forcing Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu to adjourn the proceedings till 2 pm, but not before threatening to appeal to rules against them and rapping them for their rowdy behavior.
