Both the Houses of Parliament will start again Thursday after a weekend and a three-day break on account of Christmas.The Lok Sabha is all set to debate on the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2018.The Bill proposes all declarations of instant triple talaq void and illegitimate. It seeks to make the practice carrying a punishment of offence with detention of up to three years. The Bill will put back the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Ordinance-2018.

Besides this The National Medical Council (Amendment) Bill 2018 has also been listed among others for the day's legislative business. In the Rajya Sabha, The Trafficking of Persons (Prevention, Protection and Rehabilitation) Bill 2018, and The National Council for Teacher Education (Amendment) Bill, 2018 and others have been listed for deliberation and passing.

Worth mention here So far, the Winter session of Parliament, which started on 11th of December month, has witnessed repeated disturbance on the issues of Rafale aircraft deal, construction of dam across Cauvery river, and financial benefits to Andhra Pradesh.
