Wipro gets 7-year contract for data center management from Innogy

Wipro, the country's third-largest software company, has received a seven-year contract for data center services from Europe's energy company Innogy SE. Wipro informed this to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday. The company said that the related contract was signed in November 2016. 

Under this agreement, Innogy had transferred Wipro data center located in Norrath and Niederaussen of Germany on February 1, 2017. They said that under this contract, their work was to manage the data center and cloud services of Innogy. However, he did not give financial information about this.

"This relationship is strategic for our information technology (IT) operations and We have not signed just a contract in Germany but have also extended the contract of Britain to 2024." said Marcus Shaper, Chief Information Officer of Innogy. 

Wipro's Vice President and Global Head (Utilities) Arun Krishnamurthy said that the company will send both the German data center for the future Investment and management.
