NEW DELHI: Tech giant Wipro on Wednesday, July 12, announced the launch of Wipro ai360, a holistic, AI-first innovation environment, and pledged to invest $1 billion over the following three years in developing AI capabilities.
The investment will concentrate on boosting "FullStride Cloud" and consulting capabilities, growing AI, data, and analytics solutions, creating new R&D and platforms, and establishing new platforms.
The goal of Wipro ai360 is to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into every platform, tool, and solution used internally and provided to clients, the firm stated in a statement. This builds on the company's ten years of investing in AI.
"We anticipate a dramatic shift in the future for many industries, especially with the introduction of generative AI. New difficulties, new working methods, and new business models are all present. Thierry Delaporte, CEO and MD of Wipro Limited, noted that this is precisely why Wipro's ai360 ecosystem places responsible AI operations at the centre of all our AI activities.
The 30,000 Wipro experts in data analytics and AI will work with Wipro's technology and consulting ecosystem from four international business lines as part of Wipro ai360.
The Company announced that it will quicken Wipro Ventures' investments in innovative businesses. It will also introduce its GenAI Seed Accelerator programme, which will teach a select group of GenAI-focused businesses to be ready for the enterprise.
Over the course of the following 12 months, the corporation will provide all 2,50,000 employees with training on the principles of AI and the safe use of AI.It would create a curriculum outlining the entire AI journey for various professions.
