Sidhi: Upset over dowry harassment, a mother along with her three children tried to commit suicide by consuming poison in Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh. Although the mother's condition is fine after this incident, her children are fighting for life and death. Two children of the woman have been admitted to Gandhi Smriti Hospital in Rewa for treatment. Where they are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit. Even after almost 5 years of marriage, when the taunts and torture of her husband and in-laws did not end, the woman along with her three children tried to commit suicide by consuming poison. Seeing the condition of all the children, including the mother, deteriorating, the family took them to the hospital where they are undergoing treatment. It is being said that the victim had filed an application at the women's police station and complained about the torture, but then the police did not pay attention to it and made a settlement.  

Now that the woman has tried to commit suicide by consuming poison with the children, the police have registered a case against the woman's husband and in-laws and started an investigation. The incident took place in Tarka (Jharia) village of the district where a woman named Nirmala was married to one Leelamani on June 10, 2017. It is being said that after marriage, she was tortured by her mother-in-law, sister-in-law and husband Leelamani for not bringing 60 thousand rupees and a motorcycle as dowry.

Disturbed by the continuous torture, the victim filed a complaint application at the women's police station on July 21, where the police had reconciled the two parties. But after a few days, she was tortured again. According to the complaint application given in the women's police station, the in-laws used to torture her continuously and beat her often. They also threatened to marry him again and threw her out of the house. Disturbed by this torture every day, Nirmala consumed the poison of the three children, one-year-old Shubham, two-year-old Saman and four-year-old Satyam. But the news of this came to the family members and all of them were admitted to the district hospital. In view of the serious condition of the two children, they have been admitted to Gandhi Smriti Hospital in Rewa for treatment. The matter is being investigated by the police.
