Shivpuri: In a shocking incident, a woman who underwent sterilization a year ago has given birth to a baby boy from Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh. Now the woman says that the government should compensate for the maintenance of the child. The woman has approached the District Magistrate regarding this matter. She says she had undergone a vasectomy. Even after that, she became pregnant.
Let us tell you that for the last many years, the government has been promoting sterilization programs for population control. Under the family planning scheme, people are also given incentives by the health department for sterilization, but recently there have been cases where women who had undergone sterilization 1-2 years ago have given birth to children.
One such case has come to light in the public hearing of the Shivpuri District Magistrate on Tuesday. After the failure of the sterilization operation here, the couple is making rounds of offices for compensation. The woman, who underwent a vasectomy a year ago, says that the baby was born after undergoing sterilization. Now I have sought compensation from the government for the upbringing of the child. The matter is now under investigation.
