Aligarh: A woman was gang-raped by an auto driver and two of her companions in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district. After the gang rape, the miscreants also looted the woman's purse which contained 20 thousand rupees. The miscreants dumped the woman in Nanu area of Akrabad police station area and fled. The shocking incident took place at 1 pm on Thursday. Acting on a tip-off, the police have registered a case against the unidentified auto driver and his two accomplices under sections of gang rape and robbery on the basis of her complaint after getting the woman treated.
According to the victim, she is originally a resident of a village under Akrabad police station area of Aligarh. At present, she lives in Delhi with her husband and children. Late on Thursday night, she had come to Aligarh by bus from Delhi. Here he made an auto from Gandhi Park bus station to go to Akrabad. Apart from the driver, three other people were already present. According to the woman, a man got down on the way. After this, the auto driver and his two accomplices gang-raped her and also robbed her of a purse full of Rs 20,000. The woman was also assaulted when she protested. The accused then threatened the woman and threw her at Nanu, Akrabad and fled.
The woman informed the police around 1 a.m. After receiving the information, the police team which reached the spot immediately sent the woman to the hospital for treatment. Late in the night, sp dehat, SSP, CO and other officials reached thana Akrabad. The complaint was registered after the interrogation of the woman. According to SSP Kalanidhi Naithani, a case has been registered against the unidentified auto driver and his two accomplices under sections of gangrape and robbery based on the woman's complaint. Their search continues. CCTV cameras on the way to Gandhi Park bus stand and Akrabad are being scanned. Soon the miscreants will be caught .
