New Delhi: Due to the dreaded coronavirus spread across the world from the city of Wuhan in China, many countries of the world have been under lockdown. In India too, a 21-day lock-down has been implemented to prevent infection with the virus. A case of giving birth to a girl in a police van has come to light in South Delhi's Kidwai Nagar on Wednesday.

When this woman was being taken from the police van to the hospital. Then on the way she gave birth to a baby girl. Police has given information in this regard. Giving information, a call was made to the police on behalf of the family of the woman informing them that they needed an immediate ambulance for the woman. The woman lives in a workers' colony in Kidwai Nagar.

A senior Delhi Police official said that four policemen, including a female constable, were taking the 28-year-old pregnant woman in an emergency response vehicle (ERV) to Safdarjung Hospital. Meanwhile, on the way, the woman gave birth to the girl in the van. The police officer further informed that the woman and newborn girl were later admitted to Safdarjung Hospital.
