In the final match of the four-country tournament, the Indian women's football team was defeated 1-2 by Venezuela. With a hat-trick of losses, the Indian team's season has come to an end.

The Indian side, which is rated 57th in the FIFA rankings, one spot behind Venezuela, had gone down hoping to win after losing both of their previous matches to large opponents. India's aspirations were crushed, and despite being behind in the first half, Venezuela came back to win.

Grace Dangmei scored in the 17th minute to put India ahead and keep them there for the rest of the first half. In preparation for the AFC Asian Cup next month, Chile and Brazil also trounced India. The Asian Cup will take place between January 20 and February 6.
