Washington: A disturbing information has come out from the World Bank for China facing the Coronavirus. The World Bank has stated the estimates that due to the global epidemic coronavirus, the economy is going to be very slow in China and other East Asian countries this year, which will lead millions to poverty.

The World Bank has expressed this fear in a report released on Monday. The report has stated that the pace of growth in the region this year could be 2.1%, which was 5.8% in 2019. According to the bank's estimate, more than 11 million people will fall under the purview of poverty. So far 81 thousand 518 people have been infected with Coronavirus in China. 3305 people have died. According to a report, 80% of the deaths in China were of people above 60 years of age.
