World Cup 2019: ICC announces warm-up fixtures, India to face New Zealand and Bangladesh

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday released the list of warm-up fixtures for the teams participating in World Cup 2019. . All ten teams will be playing two warm-up games each across three venues namely the Bristol County Ground, Cardiff Wales Stadium, Hampshire Bowl and The Oval.

India to face Bangladesh and New Zealand

India will take on Bangladesh and New Zealand in their warm-up fixtures in the build-up to the ICC World Cup 2019. The team will play two warm-up games before beginning their World Cup campaign against South Africa on June 5 at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. India will play their first warm-up game against New Zealand on Saturday, 25th May at The Oval before locking horns with Bangladesh in the second warm-up fixture at the Cardiff Wales Stadium on Tuesday, May 28.

Australia to loch horns with England

Defending champions Australia will play their warm-up games against hosts England and Sri Lanka on May 25th and 27th respectively.  Meanwhile, hosts England will take on Australia and Afghanistan in their two warm-up games. Bangladesh will face another Asian rival in their first warm-up fixture as they will go head to head against Pakistan. Pakistan's first game, meanwhile, will be against Afghanistan.
