London: the 11th match of the World Cup 2019 to be played at Bristol on Friday between Pakistan and Sri Lanka has been canceled due to rain. Due to the heavy rain, the match could not start. The match was scheduled to start at 3 pm Indian time, but it could not be due to heavy rains.

As per the information, the three umpires came for a review of the field. Then, once again, the match referee also reached the ground at around 8:15. After which the decision to cancel the match was taken. The two teams have been given one point each after the match was canceled. After a seven-wicket defeat at the hands of West Indies in the first match, the Pakistan team had a brilliant turn to beat England by 14 runs in the previous match. Before the win against England, Pakistan had suffered defeat in 11 successive games.

With this, Pakistan had their second-best score of the World Cup of 348 runs against the hosts for 8 wickets. Mohammad Hafeez, Babar Azam, and Sarfraz Ahmed put up the fifties. Later, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz and leg-spinner Shadab Khan took England to 334 for 9 at stumps.
