The first Yoga University is being started to promote Yoga outside India. Classes will start in this university from next year. This university is being established after conducting research in America. The university admission process will start in April this year. On behalf of Vivekananda Yoga University, the campus has been established at the initial level in Los Angeles for the establishment of Yoga University.

According to media reports, Professor Sri Srinath of Case Western University has been elected as the President of this university while Indian Yoga Guru HR Nagendra has been elected as the Chairman. University establishment work will start by August 2020 this year, while in April, admission will start for doing master course in Yoga.

It was decided to start Yoga University within three months of obtaining official recognition from the Bureau of Private Postcondary Education, California. Its recognition was given in the year 2019 in November. VAYU will facilitate collaborative research in this Yoga University. Through this, the university of the world will also be supported. Nagendra, a former NASA scientist, said in a media interview that education within man makes him complete and he can contribute to nation building through his education. The aim of VAYU is to educate the students so that they can contribute to the nation building. The first Yoga University in India was started in the year 2002. Nagendra told that only after this he inspired to build Yoga University in the world.
