There is a saying in our country that when luck will turn around, nothing can be said. Something similar happened to a man in Colombo, Sri Lanka. While digging a well in the house, the workers found such a precious sapphire that his fortunes changed. The price of the 510 kg sapphire is said to be around 7.5 billion (Rs 7,43,78,60,769.60) in the international market.
The same National Gems and Jewellery Authority of Sri Lanka (NGJA) said that bids are being made for purchase by foreign countries for 510 kg of stone. The sapphire has been kept in a bank safe in Colombo. One of the precious stone traders said that the sapphire stone was suddenly found due to the digging of a well behind the house.
The same stone has been found in Ratnapura city. The city is called Gem City in Sri Lanka. Very precious stones have been found here in the past. The sapphire stone, which was obtained due to excavation, has been named serendipity sapphire. The owner of this 25 lakh carat stone, Dr. Gamage said the workers digging the well-told him that there might be precious stones under the ground. After this information, they reached the spot and the stone was successfully pulled out. Dr. Gamage, who owns this sapphire, which does not give him full name and address for security reasons, is also a businessman of precious stones. After the stone came out of the well of the house, they informed the authorities about it.
