New Delhi:  President Droupadi Murmu started the celebrations of the 75th Republic Day today by unfurling the national flag at Kartavya Path. In sync with the ceremony, the National Anthem echoed through the air as the President was honored with a 21-gun salute. Following tradition, the unfurling of the National Flag was accompanied by the National Anthem, while a resounding 21-gun salute was rendered using the indigenous 105-mm Indian Field Guns.

Today, on 26th January, India celebrates its 75th Republic Day with joy and fervor. Alongside the nationwide celebrations, leaders from various countries have extended their heartfelt wishes to Prime Minister Modi and the people of India.  French President Emmanuel Macron, who is attending the Republic Day celebrations as the chief guest, expressed his happiness in being a part of the event in Delhi. Calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a dear friend, Macron conveyed his warm wishes, stating, "My dear friend @NarendraModi, Indian people, My warmest wishes on your Republic Day. Happy and proud to be with you. Let's celebrate!"

Former President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih also joined in the celebrations, extending his best wishes to India on this special occasion. Highlighting the strong bonds between Maldives and India, Solih expressed hope for the continued strengthening of friendship.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, in a statement, applauded India's journey since Independence, noting the country's achievements in innovation and success. He emphasized the close ties between Australia and India, built upon deep-rooted connections between their people.

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken congratulated India on its Republic Day, acknowledging the significance of the Indian Constitution in upholding democracy and global leadership. Blinken reiterated the importance of the relationship between the United States and India, emphasizing its consequential nature.

Even amidst diplomatic tensions, the High Commission of Canada in India extended warm wishes to India on its 75th Republic Day, reflecting the spirit of goodwill and friendship.

As India commemorates its 75th Republic Day, these messages of solidarity from global leaders underscore the significance of the occasion in fostering international relations and cooperation.
