World Tsunami Awareness Day is celebrated every year on 5th November every year. On this day, work is done to sensitize the people about the natural calamity Tsunami and suggestions are made to deal with such a situation. There are many countries in the world that face Tsunami every year. Some reports say that by 2030, 50 per cent of the world's population is estimated to be exposed to floods, storms and Tsunamis. For this day also, awareness is being spread among the people. People are given infrastructure, warnings, and training to deal with Tsunamis. How to save people during an emergency. These countries are the worst hit: In the last 100 years, there have been 14 countries, including Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India and Thailand, which have suffered a lot, ranging from health to economic losses.  It has been found that 2,27,000 times these countries were attacked by the Tsunami. In 2004, 14 countries, including Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, suffered the biggest losses due to the Tsunami.

In order to raise Tsunami awareness and combat risk, the UN General Assembly is nominated as World Tsunami Awareness Day on 5th November 2015. Many countries of the world came together and demanded from the UN. The United Nations then declared World Tsunami Awareness Day. It is also being said that a day is declared by the United Nations for a campaign in all countries of the world. International Day informs the public about and tackles issues of concern and inspires people. So that all countries at the international level come together and work.
