World Veterinary Day History: World Veterinary Day was first observed on April 28, 2000, as an initiative of the World Veterinary Association (WVA). . With a goal to advance both public and animal health, the WVA is a nonprofit organisation that promotes the veterinary profession globally.

The World Veterinary Association has worked with 70 nations and national veterinary associations in its 60 years of operations. World Veterinary Day was first celebrated by World Veterinary Association in April 2000 and continues to be celebrated every year across the globe.
