World's Ethical companies list launched, Tata and Wipro made it to the List

Tata Steel & Wipro, have made it to the list of World's list of most ethical companies by American think tank Ethisphere Institute.

The Ethisphere Institute said, That the decisions the companies take have an impact on their employees, investors, customers and other key stakeholders & leverage values and an atmosphere of ethics & integrity. Wipro is the one of the two company in the information technology sector named in the list, the other being the Xerox Corporation. Tata steel is among the two companies who ae in the list from the metals, mineral & mining space sector, the other being the US-based Schnitzer steel Industries Inc.

Ethisphere Chief Executive Officer Timothy Erblich said, that the "Companies we have honoured as the most Ethical will be taking the response to shifting up to the societal expectations, the constant redefinition of laws & regulations, the business environment".

The country which dominated the list with most of its companies making up to the list was the United States, around 98 of the 124 companies were from the US. There were 13 eleven-time honorees & 8 first-time honorees in the list.

Ethisphere award only those companies with the Ethical tag honour who recognise their responsibility in the society to benefit the society in terms of positive changes in the business environment as well and around the world. 

In 2017, survey list there were total 124 honorees covering 5 continents, 19 countries & 52 industrial sectors.

Ford Motor Company has topped the list of Most Ethical Company of the World for the eighth straight year. Ford Motor Company Executive Chairman Bill Ford said, that " Strong ethics & corporate citizenship are the foundations of the business philosophy".
