Wrestlers sat on a dharna at Jantar Mantar against the outgoing president of the Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. A complaint was also lodged against the players in the Patiala House Court for registering an FIR. The court had also sought a status report on the matter. Delhi Police has said that the speech and objectionable language that was heard at Jantar Mantar was of the ignorant Sikh protesters. Wrestlers did not use foul language.

The news says that a petition was filed in the Patiala House Court demanding that wrestlers Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia are engaged in defaming the country. Therefore, an FIR should be registered against him. On the last hearing, the court has also issued an order to the Delhi Police to file a status report in the case. Delhi Police has given a clean chit to the wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar. Delhi Police has said in its status report that indecent language has also been used by unknown Sikh protesters. No foul language has been used by Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat or other wrestlers so far.

Delhi Police has asked the Patiala House Court to close the complaint made by Bam Bam Maharaj against the protesting wrestlers. Maharaj had also appealed to the court to register an FIR against the wrestlers for making inflammatory speeches. The Patiala House Court is going to hear the case on July 7. A few days ago a meeting was held between Union Minister Anurag Thakur and the wrestlers. This matter also came to the fore during the meeting which lasted for five hours. The players had demanded that no case should be registered against them. Wrestlers demand that MP Brij Bhushan Singh be sent to jail as soon as possible. Anurag Thakur has given time till June 15. Till then he said that you are not going to protest.
