Lucknow: Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP MP Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh, facing allegations of sexual exploitation of women players, has thanked Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav in a way. He said that SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has known me since childhood.

According to the report, Braj Bhushan said, 'There are other political parties in Uttar Pradesh, especially your reference to SP. Its leader is Akhilesh Yadav. He has known me since childhood. Most of the wrestlers come from such societies within Uttar Pradesh, which come from socialist ideology. If 10,000 children do wrestling in Uttar Pradesh, then there are 8,000 wrestlers in it who are from socialist families. They all know how our Netaji is.'

Along with this, BJP MP Braj Bhushan Singh has said that, 'Every leader of UP knows. Even the Congress leaders here know how Netaji is. Everyone knows and everyone knows each other. He said that from Deoria to Lakhimpur everyone knows who is who. I thank Akhilesh Yadav. While Priyanka Gandhi is sitting making allegations without thinking and local Congress leaders are also with me. Along with this, Braj Bhushan Singh termed the allegations of the wrestlers protesting as politically motivated.'
